The mirror blades of this fan seem to become transparent while rotating. With “Lost” the mirror-surface blades create a reflection despite their movement. The result is a reflected image that seems to float in space and that that is juxtaposed with the background. This ghost-like effect is underlined by the progressive vanishing of the reflected image from the center towards the edge. When spinning in low speed “Lost” produces a stroboscopic effect through which the reflected image endlessly appears and disappears.

Les pales en miroir de ce ventilateur, semblent devenir transparentes lorsqu’elles sont en rotation. Dans leur mouvement, elles renvoient au spectateur son propore reflet qui semble léviter et se fondre dans l’espace où le ventilateur est accroché. L’aspect phantômatique de cet effet est souligné par la disparition progressive de l’image réfletée du centre vers la périphérie. En vitesse lente “Lost” produit un effet stroboscopique qui fait apparaître et disparaître le spectateur sans cesse
